Antioch Progressive Church serves as an auxiliary distribution site for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.

The Food Bank uses Antioch’s facilities to distribute food to the community; however, this program is not a formal ministry or program of Antioch Progressive Church.

Food distribution is provided weekly on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is operated according to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services guidelines.

Food Distribution Schedule

Sign-In: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Distribution: 11:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Clients must arrive during designated times based on last name to receive a number:

  • A – F: 8:30 a.m.
  • G – L: 9:00 a.m.
  • M – R: 9:30 a.m.
  • S – Z: 10:00 a.m.

Please note: Sign-in numbers will not be issued after 10:00 a.m. No exceptions.

Come early… leave early.

Distribution Guidelines

  • This is a drive-up food distribution site
  • Food is provided in bagged or boxed items
  • Clients will remain in their vehicles until their number is called
  • Only one client is permitted at the sign-in desk at a time
  • Clients must maintain six feet of distance while in line
  • Line management during distribution is limited to ten (10) clients
  • All clients are required to wear a mask

Each individual seeking food must be present and sign in personally to receive assistance. Food cannot be held or pulled for others.

We reserve the right to refuse service in accordance with Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services policies.

Program Purpose

The purpose of this food distribution is to supplement the nutritional needs of individuals and families in the Meadowview and South Sacramento area. While Antioch Progressive Church provides the space, the food distribution itself is administered under the direction and requirements of Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.

MODIFIED DISTRIBUTION GUIDELINES

Clients arrive at designated times according to last name to receive a number:

A – F: 8:30am
G – L: 9:00am
M – R: 9:30am
S – Z: 10:00am

Return at 11:45 am according to ticket for food distribution.
NOTE: Sign-in numbers will NOT be issued after 10:00 am. No exceptions.

Our distribution will provide bagged/boxed food items to reduce shared spaces.

We have sign-in procedures that allow for social distancing.

  • Only one client at sign-in desk at a time.
  • Clients need to line up with six feet between each other.

We have distribution attendance that allows for social distancing.

  • Clients will remain in their cars until number is called then drive up to receive food.
  • We will limit line management during distribution to ten (10) clients.

The Mission of the Food Program is to provide support to our clients in the form of food to supplement their nutritional needs. It is our desire to assist clients with food, to engage with them in a Christ-like manner and to support them through prayer. The program has been established to meet the needs of the community in the surrounding Meadowview and South Sacramento area.

Antioch Progressive Church Food PantryOur community's free food distribution program offers food for clients weekly on Tuesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Clients first must register their name, sign in and then they are able to obtain a number beginning at 8:30 am. Distribution is on a first come, first serve basis for everyone.

The Antioch Progressive Food Pantry is a partner with Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, therefore, we have a set of strict guidelines to follow. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. The Antioch Food Program is not able to pull food for anyone. Each person in need must come and sign in individually in order to participate in the distribution of food. We are a drive-up pantry.
