God was not ready for me…

Reginald C. Robinson, Sr.

Hi, my name is Reginald C. Robinson, Sr. and this is my testimony.

One night in 2005, I was working as a security officer and got off work at 2:00 am. I was on my way home and I came to a red light at an intersection. At the light, there was a person standing to the right of me on my passenger side. I was unaware that my passenger-side door was unlocked. the person jumped into my car with a gun asking me to give up my car and all of my money. Then, it hit me that this was a car-jacking.

At the time, I said no and he looked at me and tried to grab the keys out of the ignition and my keys fell to the floor of the car. The person reached down to get them but he never shut the passenger door. When he reached down for the keys, my key chain was wrapped around the shifter so he was not able to take the keys.

That’s when I hit him and pushed him out of the car. But before I got him all of the way out of my car, he pointed his gun, a 38 caliber, toward me at my right side and pulled the trigger. The gun sounded off, but nothing came out. The door shut and I took off.

At the time, I thought that it was a play gun until the next day when I found a 38 caliber shell in my car. The shell came out of the gun but the bullet did not. That’s when it hit me that the gun was not a fake. God was not ready for me yet!
